Congratulation to Abi Ameele who is a scholarship winner at New York City Dance Alliance workshop and convention.
Abi was awarded the "Rising Star" scholarship and was selected from over 200 participants. Congrats are also in
order to Valerie Mayne who was a scholarship finalist. The NYCDA workshop was held over 2 days Dec. 3rd and 4th.
Many impressive Master Teachers including Travis Wall from "So You Think You Can Dance" taught classes.

Recently Diane and Susan traveled to Nashville Tennessee to see alumni student Stephanie Madden perform in the
Radio City Christmas Spectacular as one of the Rockettes! Congratulations to Stephanie for reaching her dream!

Katie Lake will be appearing in the Northeast Youth Ballets version of the Nutcracker in Lynn on the weekend of
Dec. 8-11th. You can see her perform the coveted roll of the Sugar Plum Fairy as well as student Christina
Serrano as a flower. We also have many students performing as angels, snowflakes, soldiers, mice etc. in both
the Melrose Youth Ballet as well as the Northeast Youth Ballet. We encourage you to support these organizations
and attend a performance.

Former student Alicia Christofi Walsh who now resides in Ireland and teaches at the Sallynoggin College of Dublin
for professional dancers and the Dublin School of Dance and Drama will be teaching a Master Class for all and any
7-10 year old students who are interested. The class will be a Creative Movement/Modern class and will be held on
December 28th, 10:30 – Noon. Call for more information and registration.
